Chelsea is reportedly interested in FC Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa, but Manchester United is also interested.
According to a 90min report, the Blues are looking into ways to strengthen their goalkeeping position in the upcoming transfer window and have identified Diogo Costa as a possible target.
The West Londoners are in the process of rebuilding and are looking to bring in young talent with a lot of potential.
Costa’s impressive performances over the last year and a half have piqued the club’s interest. He was an important player for Portugal during the World Cup, appearing in all matches and earning a spot in the World Cup XI. The gifted 23-year-old Portuguese has exceptional shot-stopping abilities as well as quick reflexes.
Since joining the club in 2011, he has quickly risen through the ranks. He made his senior team debut in 2019 and has since established himself as a regular starter, appearing in 93 games and keeping 40 clean sheets.

Costa has been in outstanding form this season, appearing in 25 games and recording 13 clean sheets, including three in the Champions League. His impressive performances have piqued the interest of several clubs looking to scout him.
Chelsea’s goalkeepers are currently Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy. Arrizabalaga was brought in as a world-record signing, but Mendy eventually took his place and was instrumental in Chelsea’s Champions League victory.
Chelsea scouts have been following Costa for several weeks and are expected to make a bid for him during the summer transfer window.
