EPL: Chelsea, Newcastle, Liverpool, and Arsenal all lose points while Manchester United gains three points

In last night’s English Premier League match against Fulham, Chelsea’s new left wing player Mykhailo Mudryk was substituted at half-time, paving way for fellow new signing Noni Madueke.

Mudryk’s withdrawal from the match at half-time had left some of the Chelsea fans astonished and unhappy, considering the huge €100 m fee the club had invested in order to sign him from Shakhtar Donetsk.

However, speaking to beIN SPORTS channel in the post-match conference, Chelsea manager Graham Potter revealed that Mudryk’s early substitution was necessitated by the fact that he had a heavy cold this week and the Ukrainian international was feeling heavy-legged.

“He had a heavy cold all week. We thought 60 would be his maximum but he just felt heavy legged at half-time so felt 45 was right for him,” Potter said.

The Premier League match ended on a 0-0 draw, leaving Chelsea on 9th position league standings at 30 points, with Liverpool and Aston Villa yet to play. Fulham occupy the 6th position at 32 points.
