Carney Chukwuemeka, a Nigerian-born Chelsea youngster, has expressed gratitude to manager Graham Potter.
Carney Chukwuemeka: Despite his inexperience, Potter has given the summer signing from Aston Villa a run of games.
“The recent game time I’ve had and the trust the gaffer has shown me has helped me believe I belong here,” Chukwuemeka tells chelseafc.com.
“It was extremely difficult at first. Villa was all I knew; it was where I made my debut. They have done a lot for me. All I had to do was wrap my head around the fact that I would be playing for the club I support. The transition was difficult but rewarding.

“At the start of the season, I felt I had to be patient. I trusted God’s plan for me, and now I’ve almost surpassed the total number of league minutes I received last season. It’s a significant advancement in my career.
“I can play with full energy and potential skills on the field, and I can continue to grow as a player and as a person,” Chukwuemeka said.
