Chelsea, led by Todd Boehly, has set a price for Hakim Ziyech after AS Roma, led by Jose Mourinho, expressed interest in signing the winger.
Jose Mourinho: Ziyech has underperformed at Chelsea since joining for £33 million from Ajax in 2020.
The Moroccan international helped Ajax win the Eredivisie and reach the UEFA Champions League semi-finals, but he has struggled to find his best form for the Blues.
Most Chelsea managers have passed over the 29-year-old, who has only started four Premier League games this season under Graham Potter and Thomas Tuchel, respectively.
Given his lack of playing time, Ziyech is willing to leave the Premier League giants before the January transfer window closes next week, and the player has been linked with Newcastle United, Everton, and Aston Villa.
Roma has entered the race to sign Ziyech, according to Gianluca Di Marzio, as they prepare for the likely departure of Nicolo Zaniolo.
According to the report, Chelsea is asking £17.5 million for Ziyech and has been in talks with Roma’s Serie A rivals AC Milan about a deal.
