In an interview with the club, teenager Omari Hutchinson stated that he was very impressed by the coaching staff after training with the Chelsea first team.
The 19-year-old has been with Graham Potter’s squad since the Blues resumed training after the domestic season was interrupted by the World Cup.
For a long time, Hutchinson has been threatening to break into the setup. Despite not playing, he has been named to the bench a few times in a variety of competitions.
He did play in a friendly against Aston Villa last weekend, where he drew the manager’s attention.
Unfortunately, the game was overshadowed by Armando Broja’s injury, which has now been confirmed to end his season early.
Potter made an impression on Hutchinson.
Nonetheless, Hutchinson will be hoping that his time on the field was worthwhile, especially since the first team players have yet to return from the World Cup.
