Chelsea has received a significant boost in their pursuit of Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix after German club Bayern Munich dropped out of the race.
Felix wants to leave Atletico Madrid in January after clashing with manager Diego Simeone, and Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing the La Liga star.
Bayern Munich had previously been linked with a move for the Portugal international, but Sport1 journalist Karry Hau dismissed talk of Bayern’s interest in Felix, saying,
“Contrary to recent reports in Spain, Bayern Munich is no longer interested in Joao Felix.” The Portuguese striker was a target for Bayern last summer, but Félix is no longer a problem at the club.”
According to Football London, Atletico Madrid has placed a £100 million price tag on Felix ahead of the January transfer window, with Premier League rivals Arsenal also interested.

Atletico Madrid CEO Gil Marin recently stated that the La Liga club is willing to sell the 23-year-old forward in January.
“Joao Felix has top level, but because of his relationship with Simeone and game time… we feel that it makes sense to consider potential bids to sell him,” Marin said when discussing Felix’s future at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
Felix performed admirably for Portugal at the World Cup, scoring a goal against Ghana in the group stages before contributing two assists in the 6-1 last-16 victory over Switzerland.
