Liverpool has been linked with a move for a USA World Cup star, but Arsenal and Chelsea are also interested due to an £86 million release clause.
Many players’ stock has risen dramatically as a result of their World Cup performances. We’ve seen it with Moroccan players like Sofyan Amrabat, French players like Adrien Rabiot, and USA players like Yunus Musah.
Musah, who currently plays for Valencia in Spain, left Qatar as one of America’s best players. The 20-year-old boosted his reputation with some strong performances, particularly against England and Iran in the group stage.
Musah started all four games of the USMNT’s trip to Qatar, and now that the team has returned home, he is focusing on his club career with Valencia.
He had to wait his turn at the coastal club, but since Gennaro Gattuso took over as coach last summer, he’s put Musah at the heart of midfield.
Valencia is now attempting to extend his contract in order to fend off interest from the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, and Chelsea, according to 90Min. His current contract, which expires in 2026, has a €100 million (£86 million/$105 million) release clause, which the Spanish side would undoubtedly like to increase.

Liverpool are looking for a midfielder, but it is unclear whether Musah is on their radar.
