Mo Salah’s Second-half goal clinched Liverpool a hard-fought and controversial 1-0 win against Manchester City and kept them 8th position in the Premier League table
Both sides worked good openings in an exciting first period, but they remained goalless. During 76th minutes Mo Salah controlled Alisson’s long clearance, beating Joao Cancelo, before finishing past Ederson.
Arsenal won 1-0 against Leeds. After a delayed start, Saka’s strike proved to be the difference at Elland Road, despite consistent pressure from the hosts. Arsenal remains at the top of the table.
Chelsea won 2-0 against Aston Villa. Mason Mount’s brace continued Graham Potter’s undefeated start as Chelsea boss.
Man United drew 0-0 with Newcastle. Both goalkeepers were tested and Joelinton twice struck the woodwork, neither side could find a way through.
Southampton drew 1-1 with West Ham United. Romain Perraud bagged his first Premier League goal for the opener, only for Hammers captain Rice to equalise with a superb curling effort. The Saints remain in the relegation zone.
